During our pre-session phone call, Baby R’s mom told me that she wanted to avoid bonnets during her session because of Baby R’s amazing hair. When they arrived and I saw her hair, I understood what she was talking about! I love it when babies are born with a full head of hair. My first had great hair, my second had pretty good hair but it was short, and my third was born with such crazy hair growing in in the strangest patches possible. We ended up shaving it all off and starting over! :( Now at almost 8 months old she is getting it back and I’m confident that she won’t be bald for her cake smash pictures! Anyway, back to Baby R. Here are a few of my favorite images!
I was so lucky to be able to photograph my new baby niece! They live in California, so we talked about flying me and my baby and my equipment out there to do her newborn pictures, but ended up deciding it would make more sense to have them hire someone local. So they did, and the pictures were so cute! But when our grandma passed away and my sister unexpectedly flew out with her baby for the funeral, I jumped on the chance to get her a few more pictures! :) Her baby was already a month old (which I definitely don’t recommend for newborn pictures!), but luckily she was still sooooo tiny and sleepy and mold-able.
