There has definitely been no shortage of cake around here, lately! :) So many spring babies! I love it. One year olds are some of my favorite people in the world. Here are a few of my favorites from Baby C’s birthday session. Isn’t that the cutest little hooded bathrobe that you’ve ever seen!?
Now I’m only four sessions behind on blogging! :) I think typically when you blog, you’re supposed to use a lot of keywords that help the search engines find you. Isn’ that why when you find new recipes on Pinterest, you have to scroll through 300 paragraphs of backstory? I’m always thinking “just take me to the recipe!” Which is why I don’t want to make you scroll and scroll to get to the highlights of my sessions. I just want you to be able to see what to expect (if you’re a new client!).
Baby K was a new client, even though I had seen her mama’s cake creations before. Other clients had brought them in, and I was so impressed! So it was fun to meet the genius behind Tasty T’s Treats.
Here are some of my favorites from this session:
You honestly never know what you’re going to get when a baby is given free reign over the demolition of his birthday cake. Some babies are very careful, only using one finger to move frosting from the cake to their mouths. Others cry, wondering why you are wanting them to eat cake. Some are too distracted by balloons or other decorations to really give the cake more than a few moments of their attention. But not baby Dean! He was the happiest, messiest, craziest, funniest cake smasher I’ve ever had in my studio. He was like a puppy digging a hole in the dirt! I’m pretty sure I’m going to find cake crumbs everywhere for a while. His parents and I were laughing so hard! Here are just a few images showing the progression of destruction.
I can't believe these twins are already one! I took their big brother's newborn pictures, then theirs, and I've shot every milestone session since. Let me just say that letting two walking one-year-olds have free reign on two cakes is a MESS! There were four of us adults in the room and we could hardly contain them! But it was so much fun and it has been so sweet to watch them grow. Enjoy some of my favorite images from their birthday session:
