Baby H's First Birthday Session

I can't believe it has been almost six months since I did a blog post! YIKES! Since my last post, I have been taking so many birthday pictures for all of last summer's newborns.  I know I say it a lot, but it is seriously so fun to see how much your little ones grow in their first year!  Oh, and the other major thing since my last blog post is that I had my baby. You know, the one I was convinced would never come out.  She's almost four months old already and I can't believe it!

I have three kids, and she was our first home birth.  Now I wish we had had the others at home, too!  Everything about having a midwife and not having to step foot inside a hospital was such a joy for us.  We really liked the Hypnobirthing class we took to help us prepare, and in the months leading up to her delivery I enjoyed listening to the Doing It At Home podcast while I edited all of your sweet newborn pictures.  If you ever consider having a home or birth center birth and you live along the Wasatch Front, I can't recommend Katia L'Ecuyer, CPM, LDEM at Innate Midwifery enough! (www.innatemidwife.com)  She is seriously the best.

Anyway, back to Baby H!  Last time I saw her she was the tiniest little five pound newborn. You might remember the picture of her next to her dad's football. They were literally the same size!  I got to take her newborn pictures in their Lehi, Utah home, but they came to my studio for her birthday pictures and we had so much fun.  She was such a delight and loved the camera!

I'm really loving the little bath time pictures that we do after a cake smash.  We do them in the studio now instead of the kitchen sink, and I think it's just the cutest way to end our session.  Don't forget that returning newborn clients receive $50 off a future milestone session! :)
